On the evening of June 27, Wharton's Aresty Institute of Executive Education along with the Penn Club of Beijing and the Wharton Club of Beijing welcomed David Bell, Xinmei Zhang and Yongge Dai Professor, Professor of Marketing where he presented his work on:
Value Creation: New Models of Customer Engagement.
The convergence of access and consumption on the Internet is having an impact on how companies market and sell their brands. This is particularly true in China, where rapid economic growth and the expansion of the Internet have fueled the rapid rise of commerce on the Web.Professor Bell discussed an empirical perspective to the emerging business models that are impacting the way companies reach current and future customers via the Internet. He also discussed Wharton startups, including Diapers.com, who was recently acquired by Amazon for $545 million U.S.
Photos from this great event with attendees from all over China and the U.S. are coming soon. Check back to see them!
We were delighted to have the Wharton Global Engagement Series come to Beijing and look forward to future visits!
